Assign a Certificate

Allocate certificates across Events, Shifts, and User profiles to reward achievements.

📌 Note: The screenshots and settings shown in this article may not match what you see in your own platform, as Rosterfy is highly customisable. If you need guidance specific to your setup, please contact our support team.

Certificates allow you to recognise User achievements, track compliance, and validate completed Shifts or Events. In the system, certificates can be attached at multiple operational levels, from individual Shifts to entire Events, and are accessible directly by Users through their User Portal.

💡Tip: A certificate must be created first before it can be assigned. See the Create and Manage Certificates article for more information.

💡Tip: Certificates can be assigned during the creation or update process of an Event or Shift. The examples below illustrate assigning a certificate when updating an Event or Shift. The process is still the same for creation in terms of where the field is

Assign a Certificate to an Event

Assigning a certificate to an Event automatically applies recognition to all completed Shifts under that specific Event.

  1. Click Events > Events.

  2. Click the More Actions button on the Event you wish to assign a certificate to.

  4. Click the Post Event tab.

  2. Click the View Shifts icon on the Event where the Shift is located.

    The Shifts appear:

  3. Click the More Actions menu on the Shift you wish to assign a certificate to.

  6. Click the Awards and Recognition section.

  7. Click the Certificate field dropdown menu to select a certificate.

  8. Click the Save button.

Assign a Certificate to a User

Assign certificates directly to individual Users to log external training, recognise past qualifications, or award special credentials that are not connected to system Shifts.

  1. Click Users > Users.

  2. Click the More Actions menu on the User you wish to assign the certificate to.

  3. Click View Profile. The Update User screen appears:

  4. Click the Certificates section in the left-hand menu.

  5. Click the Add Certificate to user button. The Add Certificate to User window appears:

  6. Click the Certficate dropdown menu to select a certificate.

  7. Click the Submit button.

View a Certificate in the User Portal

Users can download certificates from the User Portal.

  1. Click the Rewards section in left-hand menu of the User Portal.

  2. Click the Download button next to the certificate. The certificate is downloaded as a PDF.
